M. CHRISTENSEN FUNERAL WEDNESDAY
Funeral Services for M. Christensen were held Wednesday
afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Gardner funeral home. He had been ailing for some
time and death came after one of his many attacks Monday at 11:30 at the
age of 73 years.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Jack of Portland and
Chris of Bingen; seven daughters, Mrs. Jennie Marble of Portland, Mrs. Nettie
Miller of Vancouver, Mrs. Byrdie Hyke of Carson, Mrs. Anne Dement and Mrs.
Signa Gadeberg of Bingen, and Mrs. Laura Harshman and Mrs. Helen Riley of
Wisconsin, besides several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Christensen had been a resident of White Salmon for
many years and had many friends and relatives who mourn his passing.

M. CHRISTENSEN PASSES AWAY
Had Been Resident Here For 29 Years
Marius Christensen passed away at the Klickitat general
hospital on July 15, 1946. He was born at Graa Thorning Sogn, Denmark, June
25, 1874, coming to America in 1893. He settled in Crookston, Minnesota,
where he was joined in marriage to Hannah Louise Hanson in 1898. Several
years later they moved to Wisconsin. He came to White Salmon in 1917. He
was the father of fourteen children, five having preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his loss besides his wife, nine children,
Laura Harshman, Menomonia, Wisconsin; Agnetha Miller, Vancouver, Washington,
Helen Riley, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Signe Gadeberg, Bingen, Washington; Christian
Christensen, Bingen Washington; Anna Dement, Bingen, Washington; Jennie Marble,
Portland, Oregon; Albetha Hyke, Carson, Washington, and Jack Christensen,
Portland, Oregon; twenty-four grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Gardner's Funeral home Wednesday, July 17 at
2 p.m. He was laid to rest in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
