FINAL RITES FOR MRS. CHAS. COATE
Margaretha Anna Coate passed away at Hanby's Nursing Home in
Hood River, Oregon on July 15, 1967. She was born to Mr. and Mrs. Christian
Guler of The Dalles, Ore., on April 19, 1890.
Mrs. Coate had spent the last 2 years in Hood River due
to her illness, but before that had been a resident of Trout Lake, Wash.,
for 75 years.
She is survived by; her husband, Charles F. Coate, a
son Harvey Coate of Hood River; a daughter, Louise McCuistion of Hood River;
and 3 grandchildren.
Mrs. Coate was a member of the Riverside Community Church
of Hood River and a Past Master of the Order of Eastern Star. She belonged
to the Horticultural Society of Klickitat County, the Historical Society
in Goldendale, Wash., and was a member of the Women's Club of Trout Lake.
Services were held Tuesday morning, July 18, at 10 o'clock
in the Trout Lake Presbyterian Church. Rev. Arnold Brown officiated and interment
was at the Trout Lake Cemetery. Anderson Funeral Home of Hood River made
the arrangements.

FUNERAL SERVICES HELD TUES. FOR MRS. CHAS. COATE
Margaret Coate, 77, wife of Charles F. Coate of Trout
Lake and Hood River, died Saturday July 15 in Hood River. She was born in
The Dalles April 19, 1890 and had lived in Trout Lake valley since she was
about two months old.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 18 at the Trout Lake Presbyterian
Church with Rev. Arnold Brown of Hood River officiating. Burial was in the
Trout Lake cemetery.
Surviving Mrs. Coate are her Charles of Hood River; a
daughter Louise McCuistion of Hood River; a son, Harvey Coate of Hood River
and three grandchildren.
She was a member of White Salmon Chapter OES and was
a past matron; a member of the Trout Lake Women's Club, the Columbia Gorge
Horticulture Society, and the Klickitat County Historical Society.
Casket bearers were: Kenneth Schmid, Edgar Knoll, Lawrence
McCuistion, Paul Caryl, Ted Brown and Delbert Schmid.

"Trout Lake News"
Mrs. C.F. Coate passed away at Hood River last Saturday and services were held for her at the Trout Lake Presbyterian Church, the first funeral held in the newly redone building. Mr. Coate was the daughter of Chris Guler who owned the Guler Hotel and had lived in the valley all her life until illness made them leave the farm home and they moved to Hood River to be near their daughter and son. She was buried by the side of a baby son in the local cemetery.

Margaretha Anna Coate, a resident of Troutlake, Washington
all of her life, died at the Hanby Nursing Home on July 15. Funeral services
were Tuesday, July 18, at the Troutlake Presbyterian church. Rev. Arnold
Brown was the officiating minister. Interment followed at the Troutlake
Cemetery.
Mrs. Coate was born in The Dalles, April 19, 1890, to

Mrs. Coate was affialiated with Riverside church, the
Troutlake Women's Club, the Klickitat County Horticulture Society, the Goldendale
Historical Society, and was Past Master of the White Salmon chapter of Eastern
Star.
