Mary, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.V. Crane, passed
away Friday morning, Mar. 21, of typhoid fever. Her death came as a great
shock, as she had been ill only a few days, and her case was not considered
serious until two days before her death. She had been attending business
college in Portland and returned home to spend the week-end when she became
too ill to return. The body was laid to rest in Pine Hill cemetery Saturday
afternoon. A large crown of sorrowing relatives and friends attended the
funeral, and the grave was a bank of beautiful floral offerings. To know
her was to love her, can be said of Mary Crane. The many friends extend their
sympathy to the bereaved family. Those friends from a distance who attend
Mary Crane's funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Havener of Hood River, Mrs. Wm.
Morginson and daughter Emma, Ollie Coryel, Mrs. G.A. Davis and son, Harry,
and the Misses Jackson, all of The Dalles, Agnes West and Leatha Creason
of Portland and Lillian and Avery Olson of Stevenson.
