MARGARET FORD
Margaret Ford died on Feb. 4, 2001, in Portland, Ore.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday. Feb. 8, 2001,
at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in White Salmon.

MARGARET FORD
Margaret G. Ford, a former White Salmon area resident,
died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, in Portland, Ore., at the age of 90.
Mrs. Ford was born in New York and adopted as a small
child. She moved to Nebraska and was raised there. On October 21, 1935, she
married Harry Ford in Atkinson, Neb. They moved to Vancouver to work in the
Kaiser Shipyards during World War II.
There the couple built ships together and Mrs. Ford became
a master welder. The couple later moved to the Glenwood/White Salmon area,
where they lived the rest of their lives.
Mrs. Ford loved flowers and vegetable gardening. She
grew and canned her own food and supplied her whole family with produce.
Mrs. Ford is survived by daughters Nadine Carr, White
Salmon, and Jackie Pellegrini, Portland, Ore.; six grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry in
1990.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Feb. 8, 2001, at
11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in White Salmon, with Father Ronald
Maag officiating. Vault interment was at White Salmon Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Gardner Funeral Home of
White Salmon.
