FUNERAL SERVICE TODAY FOR MRS. MOLLIE RAY
Mollie Ray, covered wagon emigrant to the Northwest at
the age of 16, died in Goldendale Sunday. Services will be held today (Thursday)
at Knosher Funeral Home, with Larry Sullivan and Bob Marden officiating.
Pallbearers will be Henry Culver, Orville Hamilton, Donald Ray, Larry Barger,
Jerry Randall and Frank Emerson.
Mrs. Ray was 81 years of age. She had lived in Goldendale
most of her life. Complete obituary on page 5 of this issue.

MARY JANE (MOLLIE) RAY
Mary Jane (Mollie) Ray was born November 14, 1883 in
Marvin, Kansas, and passed away in Goldendale Sunday, August 16, 1964.
When a young girl she moved from Kansas in 1898, coming
west in a covered wagon with her mother, Mary Horn and two brothers. In 1908
she was united in marriage to John M. Ray, the ceremony being performed by
Mr. Putman, justice of the peace. She lived in the Goldendale area most of
her life.
"Mollie", as she was affectionately known, was a member
of the Church of Christ. Survivors include one daughter, Leona Stevens of
Goldendale; one son, Roy Ray of Stevenson. Grandchildren include Irma Jane,
Patty, Danny, Carrie Ann and Marshall and many other relatives and friends.
Services will be held from the Knosher Funeral Home,
Thursday, August 20 at 2 p.m. with Larry Sullivan, assisted by Bob Marden
officiating. Burial will be made in the Spring Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Henry Culver, Orville Hamilton, Donald
Ray, Larry Barger, Jerry Randall and Frank Emerson.
