MAX KOPP DIES WHEN GAS TANK EXPLODES

Max Kopp, 19, is dead at his home in Underwood as the result of a gasoline tank exploded. It happened Thursday forenoon about 11 o'clock. Kopp was alone at the station at the time and no one knows whether there was much gas or not in the tank. It is thought the tank was about empty. The injured lad was taken to his home where doctors did all that was possible for him but he died at 5 o'clock Friday morning without regaining consciousness. Charles Berrong was the first to give assistance to Kook after the explosion and had his hands badly burned in his humanitarian efforts.
