MARY McKILLIP, COUNTY PIONEER, DIES SUDDENLY
Funeral services for Mrs. W.H. (Mary) McKillip, resident
of Klickitat County for the past 50 years, who died at her home in the Number
Six Sunday morning, will be held from the Trinity Catholic Church this (Thursday)
morning.
Mrs. McKillip, 76, was found dead in her bed Sunday morning.
She had apparently been in excellent health and the previous night had attended
a social meeting of the Goldendale Grange of which she was a longtime member.
Funeral services will be held in the Trinity Catholic
Church and will be conducted by Father Lee, pastor. Burial is to be in the
Catholic cemetery at Goldendale.
Mrs. McKillip's husband, W.H. McKillip, died six years
ago. She is survived by three sons, Albert, of Grants Pass, Ore., Anthony,
of Honolulu, and Charles, of Wenatchee; two daughters, Mrs. William Montgomery,
of Goldendale, and Mrs. Annie Tyrell, of Wenatchee. Other survivors include
a brother, A.B. Courtway, of Wenatchee, ten grandchildren, and two great
grandchildren.
Mrs. McKillip was born in Michigan in 1862. She had lived
in Klickitat County more than 50 years.
