MRS. MARTHA K. MOORE

     Mrs. Martha K. Moore, a resident of Trout Lake for more than 50 years, died July 2 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Coate, of Trout Lake. Funeral services were conducted July 3 by Rev. E.W. McAbee of the White Salmon M.E. Church., interment following in Trout Lake cemetery.
     Mrs. Moore was born in Indiana in 1851 and with her parents crossed the county by ox team, arriving in Oregon City, before she was 2 years old. In 1877 she was married to C.W. Moore, with his father, operated steamboats on the Columbia river for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Moore celebrated their golden wedding in 1927, a short time before Mr. Moore's death.
     Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Brown and Mrs. Anna Coate, of Trout Lake and three sons, Fred, Ed, and John of Gladstone, Ore. 17 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
