MAKOTO MOTEKI CALLED BY DEATH

     Funeral services for Makoto Moteki, 80, Underwood were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Gardner's Chapel. The Rev. Y. Osuga, Methodist minister from Portland officiated at the Japanese language service.
     Mr. Moteki was born in March 18, 1880 in Fukushimo, Japan and has been a resident of Underwood since 1953. Burial was in Christ-Zada cemetery, Underwood.
     Casket bearers were George and Robert Moteki, Mitsuo Takasumi, Shigo, Jan Kurahara and Tom Sumoge.
     The deceased is survived by his widow Hatsu of Underwood; son of George of New Jersey and Robert of New York, daughters, Mrs. Ruth Sumage, a registered nurse, Hood River and Miss Mary Moteki of Pueblo, Colo., and two grandchildren.
