MARCELLAINE MOORE
Marcellaine Moore, 84, a long-time resident of Glenwood,
passed away on June 11 at the Hood River Care Center.
She was born Oct. 2, 1912 in Glenwood to Albert P. Bertschi
and Evelyn (Franklin). She lived most of her life there. She was a hard worker
and helped out on the family ranch.
Mrs. Moore was a member of the Glenwood Grange #94, and
the Mt. Adams Women's Club for many years. She was also a member of the American
Diabetes Association. Her hobbies included music and flower gardening.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her son, Donald Lyle and his
wife Sharon, of Salem, Ore.; two sisters, Margueritte Powell of Lebanon,
Ore., and Shirley Wagner of Malden, Wash.; grandchildren Steve Lyle and Catherine
Nelson, both of Mt. Vernon, Wash.; and great-grandchildren Caroline Nelson
of Mt. Vernon, and Lia Verdoorn of Sacramento, Calif. She also had several
nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Foundation.
Funeral services were held on June 16 at Gardner Funeral
Home in White Salmon.
