MARK A. TUBBS SERVICES HELD

     Military funeral services were held n White Salmon Tuesday for PFC Mark A. Tubbs, U. S. Army, who died May 13 in an automobile accident while on duty in Germany.
     He was born March 19, 1953 in Glenwood, Washington, and attended elementary school in Carson.
     He was the son of the late William Tubbs of Carson and Mrs. Allene Oliver of Lynwood, Washington, Besides his mother and stepfather Arthur Oliver, he is survived by four brothers, Nick Tubbs of Carson, Robbie Tubbs and Ronald Jaques of Lynwood, and William Tubbs, who is serving with the Navy aboard the USS Prairie; a grandmother, Zellar Barron of Baker, Oregon, and a grandfather, Clarence Clegg of Portland.
     He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins.
     Services were held at Gardner's Funeral Chapel in White Salmon with interment following at the White Salmon Cemetery.

MARK A. TUBBS CRASH VICTIM IN GERMANY

     Pvt. IC Mark Anthony Tubbs was born March 19, 1953 in Hood River, Oregon. He passed away May 13, 1973 in Alexandersreuth, Germany.
     Mark went to school in White Salmon, Washington. He later attended school in Baker, Oregon and Carson, Washington. He graduated in 1969.
     He worked as a logger for a short while then worked as a school janitor's assistant before going in the Army in 1971. He had been stationed in Germany.
     Mark enjoyed outdoor life and things of nature such as hunting and fishing. He was always willing to do things to help someone in any way he could.
     He was married to Linda Crouse on April 11, 1973 in Bethel Assembly of God in Lynwood, Washington. He left for Germany April 16th and was making plans for his wife to join him. He had planned to make the Army his career.
     He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Tubbs. He is survived by his wife, Linda, of Lynwood, Wash.; his mother, Mrs. Alleen Oliver and step-father, Arthur Oliver both of Lynnwood, Wash. Three brothers also survive: Nick Tubbs of Carson, Wash.; William Tubbs serving on the USS Prairie in the Navy; and Robbie Tubbs of Lynnwood, Wash. Two stepbrothers: Ronald Jacques of Lynnwood, Wash., and David Oliver of Seattle, Wash.
     His Grandmother, Zeller Barron of Baker, Oregon and Grandfather, Clarence Clagg of Portland, Oregon.
     Funeral services wore held Tuesday, May 22nd, at Gardner's Funeral Home in White Salmon at 2:00 p.m.
     Interment was in the White Salmon Cemetery.
     Rev. Ted J. Arneson of Bethel Assembly of God of Alderwood Manor, Lynnwood, Washington officiated at the services.
     Full military honors were accorded PVC Tubbs by a Military detail from Ft. Lewis.
