MAUD WINTERSTEIN

     Maud Winterstein was born August 11, 1981 in Atchison county, Missouri to Jake and Belle Derry. She had 12 brothers and sisters and moved to Klickitat County when she was a small child.
     In 1908 she was united in marriage to Ernest F. Winterstein in Goldendale and they resided in the Spring Creek area and later moved to Goldendale. Maud and Ernest had six children, two infant daughters died at birth and a son, Gilbert, died April 24, 1964.
     Maude is survived by three sons, Merle of Goldendale, William of Eugene, and Arthur of Goldendale. One sister, Frances Phillips of Toppenish, also numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.
     Funeral services were held Saturday, June 13 at the Knosher Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur J. Stott officiating.
     Pallbearers were: Donald Ritzschke, Cecil Butts, Gail Jackson, George Freer, Virgil VanHoy and Otto Quasebarth.
     Interment was in the Spring Creek Cemetery.
