"Trout Lake News"

     Funeral Services were held on Saturday at the Trout Lake Presbyterian church for Mrs. Mary Brown. She came to Trout Lake Valley in 1902 and was a member of the Trout Lake Woman's Club, The Woman's Association and the Grange. She has been in Skyline Hospital for over three years. We extend sympathy to the families.

RITES SATURDAY FOR MARY BROWN

     Last rites for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Brown, 79, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at the Trout Lake Community Presbyterian church.
     Gardners Funeral Service were in charge of arrangements. The Rev. Kenneth O. Shellbach officiated. Burial was in Trout Lake cemetery beside her husband Robert E.L. Brown who died 28 years ago.
     Mrs. Brown was born May 23, 1878 in Oregon City, Ore. and has lived in Klickitat county since early childhood. Her home address was at Trout Lake but she resided at Skyline hospital since March 20, 1954. She died there Thursday, Dec. 26.
     She was a charter member of the Community Presbyterian church of Trout Lake, and a member of the Trout Lake Grange and Camas Prairie Pioneers Assoc.
     Five children survive: Lloyd of Portland, Floyd E. of White Salmon; Charles R. Brown, Mrs. Frances E. Patrick and Mrs. Gladys B. Halse, the last three of Trout Lake. A son, Robert C. Brown, died in 1919.
     Mrs. Brown is also survived by her brother John L. Brown of Gladstone, Oregon and nine grandchildren.
