SERVICE HELD WEDNESDAY FOR MARION ALLEN
Funeral services for Marion Cager Allen, 1, Snowden road,
White Salmon, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Gardner's Chapel.
The Rev. Homer Coulson of Husum officiated. Burial was in Goodwill
Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Arthur Walker, Melvin Walker, John
Abken, Chas. McGraw, Ed Vermiere, Tom Comer and Raymond Yarnell.
Marion was born August 29, 1943 at White Salmon and met
death by drowning in a rural reservoir three miles north of White Salmon
at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 16.
He served in the U.S. Navy from Sept. 26, 1961 to Oct.
31, 1961 and has been employed as a forest worker by the U.S. Forest Service
at Trout Lake.
He is survived by his parents Harold M. and Hazel I.
Allen; brother Robert Allen, 18, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James C. Muir;
grandmother, Mrs. C.M. Stott; and two half brothers, Fred Dollar and Allen
W. Dollar. All are from White Salmon except Allen who is serving in the U.S.
Navy.

RITES WEDNESDAY FOR MARION ALLEN
Funeral services for Marion Cager Allen were held Wednesday,
June 19th, 2 p.m. at Gardner's Funeral Home, White Salmon.
Rev. Homer Coulson officiated and interment was in the
Goodwill Cemetery, White Salmon.
Mr. Allen passed away June 16th in a swimming accident
several miles north of White Salmon.
He leaves his parents, Hazel and Harold Allen of White
Salmon, a brother, Robert Allen of White Salmon; two half-brothers, Fred
D. Dollar of White Salmon and Allen W. Dollar at present with the U.S. Navy.
Also surviving are his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James C. Muir of White
Salmon and Mrs. C.M. Stott of White Salmon.
