MILDRED C. CLOUSE
Mildred C. Clouse, 87, of Goldendale, passed away Nov.
20, 1996.
She was born April 23, 1909 in Cloquet, Minn., to Carl
and Ida Carlson. The family moved to Moscow, Idaho, where Mildred graduated
from high school and later graduated from Idaho State University.
Mildred married Emmet Clouse on June 16, 1940 in Moscow,
Idaho. They moved to White Salmon that same year. They moved to a farm near
blockhouse in 1964, and in 1970 moved into Goldendale. Mildred worked as
an accountant for Murdock Building Supply in Goldendale.
She was a member of the Klickitat County Historical Society
and Christ the King Lutheran Church. Mildred enjoyed sewing, gardening and
doing hand crafts.
She was preceded in death by husband, Emmet in 1994,
two brothers and one sister. Mildred is survived by one son, Gary Clouse
of Goldendale; one daughter, Karen Clouse of Gresham; five grandchildren
and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Nov. 23 at Christ the King
Lutheran Church with Pastor Thomas MacAdam officiating.
Graveside services were held Nov. 25 at the White Salmon
Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of Christ
the King Lutheran Church. Erdman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
