"Klickitat"

     Mrs. Marie Schlag died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Johnson, last Tuesday afternoon. She was born in Germany and come to this country when young, spending twenty years of her life in Klickitat county. Since the death of her husband three years ago, she has made her home with her daughter. Funeral services were held at the home Friday afternoon, Rev. R. Tschirley of the Lutheran church officiating. Interment was made at the Lyle cemetery. Active pall bearers were L. Toal, Wm. Lorengel, Gus Strendorf, Simon Sabot, George Mitchel and Mr. Cooney. Mrs. Schlag leaves four daughters and one brother to mourn her loss, as follows: Mrs. Anna Johnson and Mrs. Edith Shump, Klickitat; Mrs. Minnie McKinnon, Portland; Mrs. Cora Albright, Rosebud, Montana; and August Kropp, Great Falls, Montana. Those attending the funeral from out of town were: Mrs. Ray Johnson, Astoria; Mrs. Ralph Lighthill and Mrs. Charles Conn, Portland; Mrs. Elmer Briggs, Stevenson; and Tim and Carl Wols, Lyle.
