MARJORIE HEWITT

     Marjorie Dee Hewitt, a longtime Lyle resident, died Oct 9, 1999, at the age of 68.
     Mrs. Hewitt was born July 1, 1931, in Missoula, Mont., to William and Viola (Buch) Truelock. She moved to Vancouver as a youngster. She married Walter Hewitt on Feb. 24, 1959, in Stevenson and they moved to Lyle shortly after their marriage. He preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1988.
     Mrs. Hewitt enjoyed watching movies, reading and spending time with her family.
     She is survived by her sons Richard Hewitt, Battle Ground, John Duback, Stanley Duback, Walter Hewitt Jr., Lester Hewitt and Clarence Hewitt, all of The Dalles, Ore., and William Hewitt, North Bend; daughters Linda Trautman, The Dalles, Ore., and Della Hewitt, Glenwood; 38 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
     Funeral services for Mrs. Hewitt will be held Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999, at 10 a.m. in White Salmon at Gardner Funeral Home, who was in charge of arrangements.

     Marjorie Dee Hewitt, 68, a resident of Lyle resident, died of natural causes on Oct. 9, 1999.
     She was born July 1, 1931 in Missoula, Mont. to William and Viola (Buch) Truelock.
     She moved to Vancouver, Wash. as a youngster. She married Walter V. Hewitt in Stevenson, Wash. on Feb. 24, 1959 and they moved to Lyle shortly after their marriage. He  died on Oct. 28, 1988.
     She was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching movies, reading and spending time with her family.
     Survivors include sons Richard Hewitt, Battle Ground, Wash.; John and Stanley Duback, both of The Dalles; William Hewitt, North Bend; Walter Hewitt Jr., Lester Hewitt and Clarence Hewitt, all of The Dalles, and daughters Linda Trautman, The Dalles, and Della Hewitt, Glenwood, Wash.; 38 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
     Funeral services will be held at Gardner Funeral Home on Thursday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m. Visitation is on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
