MRS. MATHENY FALLS FROM TRUCK - DEATH FOLLOWS
Mrs. J.H. Matheny, making her with her daughter, Mrs.
H.W. Henderson, on the Husum road, died Saturday from the results of an accident.
Mr. and Mrs. Henderson were returning from town in a
truck, with Mrs. Matheny sitting on a box in the back. As the neared a turn
around Bald Mountain they glanced back and Mrs. Matheny assured them she
was all right. Several hundred feet beyond the curve someone yelled at the
driver, who discovered his mother-in-law was not in the truck. Driving back
they found her unconscious in the road. She was taken immediately to the
hospital here, where she died in a few minutes from a fractured skull.
