MARVIN MCVEY
Marvin Dale "Mac" McVey, a White Salmon resident died
June 13, 1994, at the age of 72.
Mr. McVey was born July 7, 1921, in Cottonwood, S.D.,
to Mary (Hilt) and Harry McVey. He lived all over the world and served in
the Army during World War II. He was also one of the last Cavalry riders
before the program was phased out. He moved to this area 22 years ago and
lived in Snowden for the last 13 years. He was well thought of and helped
many people in the Snowden area. He was a Thirty-second Degree Mason and
member of the Elks Lodge.
Mr. McVey is survived by his son Phillip McVey, Yokohama,
Japan, and Dale McVey, Buena Vista, Calif.; and his stepsons, Leon Fuhrman,
Salem, Ore., and Marvin Fuhrman, Stevenson.
Graveside services for Mr. McVey were held Friday, June
17, 1994, at 1 p.m. in Goldendale, with family and friends officiating. Interment
was in Centerville.
