MRS. MORRIS LAID TO REST SUNDAY
Maude Davy Morris, aged 62 years, passed away at her
home in White Salmon on Friday, February 28, 1941. Maude Davy Morris was
born on September 16, 1878 at Strabrook, England, and she came to the United
States in 1904.
She was married to George Morris in Portland, Oregon
in 1906. They resided at Hartland for 20 years before coming to White Salmon
in 1937.
Maude Davy Morris is survived by her husband, George
Morris, two sons, George and Edwin Morris, of this city; five daughters,
Hazel Morris, of Spokane; Bertha L. Stuart, of Alderdale; Grace Ridgeway,
of Glenwood; Mrs. Ivan Riley, of this city, and Melba Humphrey, of Wapato,
Washington. Two sisters, Mrs. Laura Elmore, of England, and Mrs. Mildred
Caton, Terra Haute, Indiana, and three brothers, William Davy, of England;
Wilfred Davy, Anchorage, Alaska; Roland Davy, of Hood River, Ore., and five
nephews, one niece and four grandchildren survive.
Interment was at High Prairie at Hartland Cemetery. Funeral
services were held Sunday, March 2, 1941, at Gardner's Chapel in White Salmon
at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. George Jefferson, of the Congregational church
will officiating. Gardner's service had charge of arrangements.

MAUDE DAVY MORRIS
Mrs. Maude Davy Morris, 62, died at her home in White
Salmon February 28. She was born in September 16, 1878, at Stradbrook, England,
and came to the United States in 1904.
She is survived by her widower, George; two sons, George
and Edwin, White Salmon; daughters, Hazel Morris of Spokane and, Bertha L.
Stewart of Alderdale, Grace Ridgeway of Glenwood, Mrs. Ivan Riley of White
Salmon and Melba Humphrey of Wapato; sisters, Mrs. Laura Elmore in England,
and Mrs. Mildred Caton of Terra Haute, Ind.; brothers, William Davy in England,
Wilfred Davy, Anchorage, Alaska; Rolland Davy of Hood River. Interment was
at High Prairie and Hartland Cemetery.

MRS. GEORGE MORRIS BURIED AT HARTLAND
Mrs. George Morris, who passed away at her home in White Salmon Thursday night, was laid to rest in the Hartland cemetery Sunday afternoon. She lived at Hartland quite a number of years before moving to White Salmon.
