MADIE BRAZELTON
Mary Ellen (Madie) Brazelton was born May 10, 1891 in
the Crofton Prairie area, the only child of George and Abbie Hollett. She
grew up and spent her early adult years in that area. She passed away on
May 5 in Goldendale at the age of 74 years.
On December 25, 1907 at her father's home at Granger,
she was united in marriage to Clinton L. Walker. They had one child, a daughter,
Gladys Klatt. Mr. Walker passed away some years ago.
In later years she lived and worked in Goldendale where
she married James Brazelton, who preceded her in death July 5, 1958. As a
young woman she became a Christian, accepting Christ as her Lord and Savior,
and her faith remained and grew throughout the years. She was an active member
of the First Baptist Church of Goldendale. She leaves to mourn her passing
a daughter, Mrs. Henry Klatt of Goldendale; a grandson, Charles Klatt of
Southwick, Idaho; a step-daughter, Mrs. E.C. Perry of Seattle; a step-son,
Alvie Brazelton of Bakersfield, Calif., a number of great-grandchildren and
many other relatives and a host of friends.
