MARGRET E. DERSCHEID
Margret E. Derscheid died May 16, 2002, at age 80.
Margret E. Saunders was born April 9, 1922, in Naches,
Wash. She was a homemaker who moved to Portland in 1965.
Survivors include her sons, Nelvin Jr., Ray and Toby;
daughters, Monta Raye Duncan, Tawnee M. Gimlin, Toni Puckett and Misty Potter;
sister, Blanche Clark; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Margret E. Derscheid, 80, of Oregon City, Ore., died
May 16, 2002.
She was born April 9, 1922 in Naches, to Alpha S. and
Nancy J. (Mason) Saunders. Margret moved to Klickitat at a young age and
attended school there. She was the only one of 10 children to graduate,
graduating from Klickitat High School in 1941. After high school she worked
for J. Neils Lumber Company in the box factory in Klickitat.
Margret married Nelvin Derscheid Dec.17, 1945 and lived
in Klickitat until 1952, when they moved to Glenwood. In 1960, they moved
to Glendale, Ore., later moving to Oregon City in 1965. Margret worked for
Bag Boy for 10 years until retiring in 1984.
Margret lived for her children and took great pride in
their accomplishments. Her love was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Margret loved to gamble and always looked forward to her trips to Reno and
more recently, the family trips to Lincoln City. She enjoyed cross-word puzzles,
and her scratch tickets, and looked forward to the Power Ball numbers to
finally "hit it big."
Her parents, five brothers, Marion, Walter, William,
Arthur, and Manley, and three sisters, Vivian, Ruby, and Barbara, preceded
her in death.
Survivors include one sister, Blanche Clark; children,
Monta Raye Duncan, of Beavercreek, Ore., Nelvin J. (Nick) and wife, Janet,
of Longview, Raymond, of Oregon City, Ore., Tawnee Gimlin and husband, Rob,
of Vancouver Toni Puckett and husband, Dale, of Milwaukie, Ore., Toby and.
wife, Denny, of West Linn, Ore., Misty Potter, and husband, Chuck, of Gresham,
Ore.; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grand-children; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Private services were held. Arrangements were under the
care of Wilhelm Funeral Home.
