MRS. MARY E. GUNNING PASSES AWAY
Word reached White Salmon Monday evening of the death
of Mrs. Mary Eveline Gunning, Portland, who has been ill for some time. Mrs.
Gunning died at 5:30 Monday evening at the hospital and her death will be
felt by all her friends as she was an old pioneer and made her home here
where she was loved and respected by everyone.
Mrs. Gunning was a devoted Christian, a good neighbor
and her last wish was to be buried here where she knew everyone. The funeral
was held here yesterday.
The community extends deepest sympathy to the family.
