"'Round and About the Hartland Section"

     Mrs. W.M. Hardison, one of Klickitat county's pioneers, died at the home of her son, W. Hardison, Tuesday, March 31, 1914, at the age of 68 years, 9 months, and 11 days.
     Mr. Hardison died January 8, 1907, and a son, Porter, died February 10, 1902. Mrs. Hardison is survived by five children: Mrs. May Strouth of Portland; Mrs. Olive Marlett of Harrison, Idaho; Mrs. J.G. Miller of Hartland; G. Hardison of The Dalles; and W. Hardison of Hartland. All of the children were present at her bed side, during the last two days, except Mrs. Marlett, of Idaho.
     Rev. Jackson preached the funeral sermon, and a large number of friends followed the remains to their last resting place.
     Mr. and Mrs. Gabe Hardison, and daughter, of The Dalles, who were in attendance at the funeral of the Mr. Hardison's mother, returned home Thursday.
