MARY RITZSCHKE
Mary Ritzschke died Dec. 14 at Klickitat Valley Hospital
at the age of 87.
She was born near Arlington, Ore. Jan. 5, 1889 and moved
with her parents, Dan and Georgia Cameron and her sister Carrie to a farm
near Centerville in May 1903.
She married Dick Ritzschke on July 17, 1910. Two sons,
Fred and Donald were born.
Dick Ritzschke died April 23, 1919 during the Victoria
(Spanish) Flu epidemic.
Surviving are her two sons; grandson Jody Ritzschke,
one brother Hugh Cameron; nephews Bruce and Dale Cameron and other relatives.
She belonged to the Centerville Grange for 54 years and
was a member of the Leah Rebekah Lodge for 45 years. She held various offices
in both organizations. She was a charter member of the Women's Society of
Christian Services at the Goldendale Methodist Church.
Services were Dec. 17 at Knosher Funeral Home with Eldon
Wiidanen officiating.
Officers of Leah Rebekah Lodge presented their memorial
service. Mr. and Mrs. William Garner and Mrs. Quentin Jaekel provided the
music and songs.
Interment was in the Centerville Cemetery beside her
husband.
Pallbearers included Harold Eshelman, Otis Anderson,
William Olson, Quentin Jaekel, Art Winterstein and Alvin Randall.
