OBITUARY
Mary Elizabeth Counts, beloved wife of Daniel P. Seitzinger
of Goldendale, was born in Fayette County, Ohio, March 18, 1851, and passed
on to her Blessed Redeemer on Dec. 17, 1925, at the family home, in Goldendale.
With a parents, Morgan and Hanna Counts, she went to
Cedar County, Iowa, in 1852. She grew to womanhood in Cedar County, and on
Sept. 2, 1880, was united in marriage to with Daniel P. Seitzinger. To the
union were born three children: Ernest S., of Portland, Ore.; Earl, of this
city; and Mrs. Bertha Brazleton, of the Firwood locality in the Simcoe mountains
near Goldendale. In March, 1898, with her husband and children, she came
to Klickitat County, and lived in the Crofton Prairie district until ten
years ago, when she and her husband moved to Goldendale, where she resided
until her death.
She leaves to mourn her departure, her beloved husband,
her three loving children, seven grandchildren and two brothers: W.A. Counts,
of Blockhouse, Wash. and Richard C. Counts, of Valley Falls, Kansas, numerous
nieces and nephews, and a host of sincere friends and neighbors.
The decedent was a life-long member of the Christian
church, and as "Aunt Mary Seitzinger," was known and loved by all who knew
her.

Where all is joy and peace and love."

Mrs. Mary E. Seitzinger, wife of D.P. Seitzinger, died at her home in this city Friday evening at about six o'clock, following a brief illness of pneumonia. Funeral services were held from the Chapman chapel Sunday at two o'clock p.m., followed by interment in the Spring Creek cemetery. Rev. S.C. Eshelman of Centerville, conducted the services. Ernest Seitzinger returned to Portland Monday. He came up last week to attend the funeral services of his mother, Mrs. D.P. Seitzinger.
