IN REMEMBRANCE OF MRS. FRANK WINTERSTEIN
Oh yes, we have talked of that wonderful place,
Whose glory no mortal has known;
And the joy we shall know when we look on His face -
When the Savior comes down for his own.
We have wondered sometimes, if we should be asleep,
Awaiting His call to arise
If we should remember some trials, and weep,
And God wipe the tears from our eyes.
Oh yes, we have talked of that beautiful land,
Its rivers, its mountains and fields;
And pondered the joys we could not understand,
Where right until wrong never yields,
The angels seem whispering over those things,
To comfort our hearts, and we know
They stood by our sister and their mighty wings
Sustained the one anxious to go. --
A friend.

MRS. ALBERT STEVEN'S MOTHER DEAD
Mary Elizabeth Lester was born June 22, 1862 in the state of Wisconsin, and departed this life July 25, 1924, at Goldendale, Washington. She was married in Smith county, Kansas, to B.F. Winterstein, Oct. 25, 1881. They moved to Klickitat county in May, 1884, where they resided on the farm, until the fall of 1908, when they moved into Goldendale, which place was their home at the time of her death. She united with the Advent church, at Spring Creek, a number of years ago, and was a faithful member of that church at the time of her death. To know Mrs. Winterstein was to love her, and she was held in high esteem by all who knew her. She was always ready to greet friends and neighbors with a smile and a kind and pleasant word, never speaking ill of anyone. The family have the sympathy of the entire community in this their hour of sorrow. On April 28, 1923, she was stricken with paralysis from which she has suffered continuously since that time. But through it all, she was ever patient, cheerful and thoughtful of others. To this union five children were born, two having died in infancy. She leaves to mourn her loss, a husband, B.F. Winterstein of Goldendale, May Winterstein, of Portland, Oregon, Ernest Winterstein, of Goldendale, and Ida Stevens, of Bickleton. Also three brothers Edd and Dell Lester of Vancouver, Wash., Fred Lester of Burbank, Wash., and Inez Cheney of Kelso, Wash. Elder Chas. E. Bennett of Lebanon, Oregon, spoke words of comfort, -- every word being so true and in accordance with Mrs. Winterstein's life. The funeral services were held at the Chapman undertaking parlors, Monday afternoon, interment being in the Spring Creek cemetery. - Agriculturist.
