TROUT LAKE MAN MISSING, PRESUMED DROWNED IN RIVER

A 31-year old Trout Lake man is missing and presumed drowned after an accident one half mile north of Klickitat on Highway 142 May 18. Max Wright's pickup truck was found in the Klickitat River by Klickitat County Sheriff's Deputies May 19 after a brief search.
According to Klickitat County Sheriff Rich Williams, Wright was last seen in Goldendale May 18.
Wright was driving a pickup owned by Honald Inc. of The Dalles, a sign and heavy lifting company. Wright apparently drove the pickup off Highway 142 into the Klickitat River. A 14-mile section foot search along the Klickitat River conducted by sheriff's deputies and the Lyle wing of the Sheriff's Air Patrol failed to turn up any trace of a body.
In addition, the Klickitat County Sheriff's office made an air search of the river.
