OBITUARY

     Mary Fredica Niemela Jackel, daughter of John and Bertha Niemela, was born at Wadso, Norway, December 14, 1865. When she was young, she immigrated with her parents to Michigan, and from there in the year 1877, came to Klickitat County, where she resided until her death. In early childhood, she was united with the Finnish Lutheran church. In 1883, she married Theodore Jackel and to them were born six children: Nettie E. Potter, of The Dalles; Arvilda B. Hafner, of Seattle; Lilliam M. Garner, August T., and Connie E., of Centerville, and Edward R., deceased. She was a loyal wife and an affectionate mother.
     Besides her family to mourn her loss, she leaves two brothers and a large circle of friends.
     Funeral services were conducted at the family home south of Centerville on Tuesday of this week, and interment was in the Centerville country.
