MARILYN DOOLIN IS STRICKEN AT NORTH BONNEVILLE HOME
Marilyn Grave Doolin, for 15 years a resident of North
Bonneville, where she operated a day care center, died at her home Thursday,
Dec. 18 at the age of 50.
Mrs. Doolin had enjoyed apparent good health, although
she had been treated for a minor illness in recent weeks. Her sudden death
was attributed to a probable heart attack.
Mrs. Doolin was born in the Klickitat hospital July 22,1936,
the daughter of Walter and Grace Ogden Saunders. She grew up on the family
farm in Glenwood and graduated from the Glenwood High School.
Marilyn Saunders and Richard James Doolin were married
Nov. 4, 1954 and made their first home in Prosser, later moving to Patterson,
Washington. They came to North Bonneville from Patterson.
Mrs. Doolin was an accomplished seamstress and loved
to knit and crochet. She and her friend Judy Lillegard enjoyed working together
to produce many award-winning items for the Skamania County Fair.
Besides her husband Richard "Dick" Doolin of North
Bonneville, she is survived by three daughters, Susan, (Mrs. Ron) Truelove
and Carolyn Doolin of North Bonneville and Linda (Mrs. Jim) Brown of Stevenson;
a son, Richard Doolin of Cascade Locks; brothers Dan Saunders of Home Valley
and Fred Saunders of lyle; sisters Dixie Tracey of Hood River, Christy Neal
of Henderson, Nevada and Willene Harrington of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and
four grandchildren.
Family and friends plan a memorial service at the Doolin
home in North Bonneville, Saturday, Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. Following cremation,
her ashes will be inurned at the Saunders family plot in Glenwood.
Gardner's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
