AGED CENTERVILLE RESIDENT PASSES

     Mary E. Niemela, widow of Peter A. Niemela, passed away at her home in Centerville Monday, aged 84 years, 9 months and 15 days. Funeral services will be held from the Finnish church in Centerville tomorrow afternoon, Friday, at 2 o'clock. Wm. Basi of Centerville, will conduct the services. Interment will be made in the Centerville cemetery. An obituary will follow.

OBITUARY

     Mary Gustave Niemela, 83, widow of Peter A. Niemela, came to Klickitat County in 1883, from Calumet, Michigan. She died August 16, 1926, at her home in Centerville, where she had resided for the past sixteen years.
     She was born in Kemi, Finland, Nov. 3, 1842, and was united in marriage to Peter A. Niemela in 1864, after which they moved to Hammerfist, Norway, where they resided for a period of eight years, after which they came to Calumet, Michigan, in 1873.
     During the pioneer days of 1883 they moved to Klickitat county, Wash., and settled on a farm near Warwick, where they resided until the death of her husband, in 1908. She then moved to Centerville.
     The following children survived: Ida Liimatta, Calumet, Michigan; Frank W. Niemela, Centerville; Peter Niemela, Goldendale; Zachary Niemela, Centerville; and Hilda Erkkila, Centerville.
     Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 20, from the Centerville Finnish Lutheran Church, Rev. William Basi and Rev. S.C. Eshelman officiating. Interment was made in the Centerville cemetery.
