MARY ZIEGLER
Mary E. Ziegler, a lifetime White Salmon resident, died
Saturday at Providence Hospital in a Portland at the age of 55.
Mrs. Ziegler was born April 12, 1929, in Goldendale,
to Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Boyer. She married Leroy Ziegler Dec. 22, 1946, in
White Salmon. She served as postmaster of the Underwood Post Office for five
years and was an employee there for 15 years. She retired in 1982. She was
a member of the Grace Baptist Church and participated in many community
activities.
She is survived by her parents, Edgar and Elsie Boyer,
Underwood; husband, Leroy, Underwood; children, Stephen, Donald, Melanie
and Kevin Ziegler, all of Underwood, and Melissa Beck, Pullman; a sister,
Laura Smith, Salem, Ore.; brothers, James Boyer, Pasco, and Marvin Boyer,
Fresno, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Ziegler were Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Gardner
Funeral Home in White Salmon, the Rev. Robert Long officiating. Interment
was in the White Salmon Cemetery.
