MARIE H. MARTZALL
Mrs. Marie H. Martzall of Stevenson, who was a long-time
resident of Glenwood, died at the Klickitat Valley Hospital in Goldendale.
Funeral services will be in the Glenwood Community Church
at Glenwood Saturday, Dec. 3 at 1 p.m.

MARIE H. MARTZALL
Marie H. Hill was born, the daughter of John and Ellen
Hill, at Ford, Wash., July 23, 1896. She died November 29 at Goldendale.
Mrs. Martzall and her husband were active in the affairs
of the Glenwood community for many years, from the time they moved there
in 1929 until they moved to Stevenson last summer.
She was married June 2, 1917 at Spokane to Willie A.
Martzall, who survives her. Other survivors are five daughters: Audrey Olson,
Stevenson; Wilda Dunaway, Bandon, Ore.; Donna Throop, Odell, Ore.; Karen
Hathaway, Klickitat and Sharon Kelley, Rowena, Ore. Also one brother, Tom
Hill and one sister, Annie Brunton, both of Ford.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 3 at the
Pioneer Memorial Community Church in Glenwood, with pastor Gary Gafwallner
of Stevenson.....

MARIE MARTZALL SERVICES HELD
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 3 for Mrs.
Marie Martzall, a resident of Stevenson for the past year, who died November
29 at a Goldendale hospital following a heart attack.
Mrs. Martzall who had lived with her husband Willie
A. Martzall since 1929, had moved here because of failing health and was
living at the home of her daughter Mrs. Clifford Olson. Mr. Martzall divided
his time between the Olson home and the family place at Glenwood. They had
planned to buy a house here and make this their permanent home.
Mrs. Martzall was born Marie H. Hill, the daughter if
John and Ellen Hill, at Ford, Wash., July 23, 1896. She and Mr. Martzall
were married June 2, 1917 at Spokane. They lived in the Ford area for 12
years before moving to Glenwood.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Martzall is survived by five daughters: Audrey
Olson of Stevenson, Wilda Dunaway of Bandon, Ore., Donna Throop of Odell,
Ore., Karen Hathaway of Klickitat and Sharon Kelly of Rowena, Ore. Also a
brother, Tom Hill, and a sister, Annie Brunton, both of Ford. Funeral services
were conducted at the Pioneer Memorial Community Church in Glenwood with
the Rev. Gary Grafwallner of Stevenson, officiating.
Interment was in the Mt. Adams Grange Cemetery. Casket
bearers were Merle Akerill, Albin Bergland, Robert I. Parrott, Homer Babcock,
Osmar Kuhnhausen and Lee Conboy.
