MAJOR HENDRYX CALLED
Myles (Major) Hendryx, 62 years of age, passed away suddenly at the home of his mother, Mrs. Hendryx, near Husum, Wednesday. His body was found in the garden, about 12 hours after he died. The Hendryx family came here from Texas in 1887 and lived in the Husum district since. Major Hendryx, a well known pioneer, is survived by a son Russell, and a daughter Mrs. Mabel Knapp, a brother, Jim Hendryx and two sisters Mrs. Chas. Gregory of St. Johns, Or., and Mrs. Wes Locke. The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at Gardner's funeral chapel.

Funeral services for Myles Hendryx, widower, resident of the Husum district for nearly 50 years, were held at White Salmon Friday, May 24. He was born in St. Claire county, Missouri, in 1873, coming to Husum from Texas with the family in 1887. Besides his mother, he is survived by a son, Russell; a daughter, Mrs. Mabel Knapp; a brother, Charles Gregory, of St. Johns, Ore., and Mrs. Wes Locke, Evergreen highway, Bingen.
