FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR MIKE WARD ON MONDAY

     Funeral services were held at Holy Trinity church Monday morning for Michael J. Ward, 59, long time resident of this community.
     Mr. Ward, who had been in ill health for several years, died Thursday evening in his hotel room here. He was born on a ranch near Blockhouse and lived in Klickitat county most of his life.
     For a number of years he worked as a sack sewer and followed the wheat harvest up and down the country. He was also an expert sheep shearer and for many years followed this work in the sheep camps through the west.
     The services held at Holy Trinity Church were conducted by Father Patrick S. Lyons. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery.
     Mr. Ward is survived by two brothers, Tom, of Portland, and John Ward, of Puyallup, Wash. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Ward, preceded him in death.
