MIRIAM MATTSON
Miriam Mattson, 94, of Woodburn, Ore., died May 27,
2001.
She was born Sept. 7, 1906 in Hockinson. Miriam
married John (Ivan) Mattson in Goldendale on March 13, 1952. The family moved
to the Portland area in 1954. She worked as a homemaker.
Miriam enjoyed gardening, cooking, and crocheting. She
was a member of the Apostolic Lutheran Church in Tualatin, Ore.
Her husband, John (Ivan), preceded her in death in
1986.
Survivors include one daughter, Karen Humphrey-Gregory,
of Woodburn, Ore.; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and her Centerville
in-laws, Raymond and Gert Mattson, Louise Mattson, and Hazel Taylor.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 1 at the
Centerville Community Cemetery at 11 a.m. Arrangements are in the care of
Simon-Woodburn Funeral Chapel in Woodburn, Ore.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 1,
2001, in Centerville Community Cemetery in Centerville, Wash., for Miriam
Mattson, who died May 27 at age 94.
Mrs. Mattson was born Miriam Pietila on Sept. 7, 1906,
in Hockinson, Wash. A homemaker, she lived throughout the Northwest and
California. She moved to Portland in about 1955 and to Woodburn in 1986.
In 1952, she married John Mattson; he died in 1986.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen Humphrey-Gregory;
four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
