OBITUARY
Early Tuesday morning, Mrs. Minerva McMillan passed quietly
away to rest, after a lingering illness at the home of her daughter, Mrs.
R.W. Walker near Blockhouse. Mrs. McMillan was born in Fordyce county, North
Dakota, in 1831, being at the time of her death past ninety-one years of
age.
Her maiden name was Minerva Smith. She grew to womanhood,
married and raised her family in her native state. She was the mother of
five sons and three daughters.
About ten years ago she came to Klickitat county and
ever since has made her home in with Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Walker. She was a
lifelong member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church, and was known to large
circle of friends for her amiable, patient Christian character.
The funeral service was conducted by Mr. Barnum at the
Walker home yesterday at one o'clock, and the interment was in the Spring
Creek cemetery.

AGED RESIDENT PASSES AWAY

McMillan passed quietly to rest after a lingering illness, at the home of
her daughter, Mrs. R.W. Walker, near Blockhouse.
Mrs. McMillan was born in Fordyce County, N.C., in 1831,
being at the time of her death past ninety-one years old. Her maiden name
was Minerva Smith.
She grew to womanhood, married and raised her family
in her native state. She was the mother of five sons and three daughters.
About 10 years ago she came to Klickitat county, and
ever since has made her home with Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Walker.
She was a life-long member of the Cumberland Presbyterian
church, and was known to a large circle of friends for her amiable, patient,
Christian character.
The funeral service was conducted by Rev. O.S. Barnum,
at the Walker home on Wednesday last, at one o'clock, and the interment was
in the Spring Creek cemetery.
