"Local News"
Mary Isabel Mitchell, 68, wife of the George R. Mitchell, died at her home in Goldendale, following a stroke of paralysis when she suffered a few weeks ago. The widower and the following children survive: Richard and R.C. Mitchell, Boardman, Or.; W.S. Mitchell, Lyle; R.A.Mitchell, Finley, Wash.; Mrs. Lois Course, Goldendale, G.B. Mitchell, Ellensburg, Wash.; and Mrs. R.M. Divers, Blockhouse. Funeral services will be held this afternoon, at 2:00 o'clock, and interment will take place in the Spring Creek cemetery. Rev. D.A. Storey will officiate. An obituary will follow.

MRS. GEO. MITCHELL PASSES AWAY
Mara Isabella Stevenson was born in Keokuk County, Iowa,
on Jan. 11th, 1858. She lived there till her marriage with Geo. R. Mitchell
of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Feb. 28th, 1878.
To this union were born nine children, two of whom have
preceded her to the great beyond. In 1894 they moved to South Mo., where
they lived for nine years. In 1904 the family moved to Klickitat county with
a resided till her death Feb. 19th, 1926, at the age of 68 years and 8
days.
She leaves to mourn her loss a husband Geo. R. Mitchell
of this place; Geo. Mitchell, and Robert Mitchell, both of Boardman, Ore.;
Wm. S. Mitchell of Lyle; Ralph A. Mitchell of Finley, Wash.; Mrs. Lois Course
of this city; Glen B. Mitchell of Ellensburg, Wash.; Mrs. Faye Divers of
Blockhouse, Wash.; and a brother in Washington, Iowa. She united with the
Methodist church in 1890 and continued a member till her death.

OBITUARY

for nine years. In 1904 the family moved to Klickitat county, Wash., where
she made her home until her death, February 19, 1926, at the age of 68 years
and 8 days.
She leaves to mourn her loss, the husband, Geo. R. Mitchell
of Goldendale, and the following children: George Mitchell and Robert Mitchell,
both of Boardman, Ore.; Wm. S. Mitchell, of Lyle; Ralph A. Mitchell, a Finley,
Wash.; Mrs. Lois Course, Goldendale; Glen B. Mitchell, Ellensburg, Wash.;
and Faye Divers, Blockhouse. She is also survived by a brother of Washington,
Iowa.
She united with the Methodist Church in 1890, and continued
a member until her death.
Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon, followed
by interment in the Spring Creek cemetery, Rev. D.A. Storey, pastor of the
M.E. church, officiating.
