MILDRED CART
Mildred J. Cart, a former White Salmon resident, died
Oct. 28, 1993, in Lyle.
Mrs. Cart was born to Catherine and Charles Irwin on
Aug. 22, 1904, near Kenmare, N.D. She married Wilbur Cart in 1925. They moved
many places in the western states as Wilbur followed his career in construction
and Mrs. Cart made a home and became active in church and community affairs.
They lived in Goldendale for several years during the early 60s. The couple
retired to White Salmon in 1965.
Mrs. Cart was a member of Bethel Congregational Church,
White Salmon Women's Club, Horticulture Club, Rock Hound Club, American Legion
Auxiliary and served as a 4-H leader.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother,
Howard Irwin.
Survivors include daughters and their husbands, Cleo
and Bill Sheckels, White Salmon. Kathryn and Gene Kerns, Arizona City, Ariz.;
brother C. Floyd Irwin, Seal Beach, Calif.; sisters Dorothy Wells, Salinas,
Calif, Helen Ringen, Marshall, Minn., and Ruth Reddick, San Lorernzo, Calif.;
eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
