MABLE KATE ALLEN

     CONDON - Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Condon in the United Church of Christ for Mabel Kate Allen, who died at the Condon Nursing Home March 31 following a brief illness.
     Mrs. Allen was born October 19, 1891 at Centerville, Washington, to the pioneer family of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Yeackel. She was the youngest and last survivor of eight children.
     She was married to Benjamin F. Allen October 27, 1909 at Centerville. To this union were born in three children. Her husband and one son, Conrad, preceded her in death.
     She was a member of the First Christian Church of The Dalles and the Neighbors of Woodcraft.
     She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ed Herbert of Condon, a son, Henry, of The Dalles, five grand-children, eleven great-grand-children and many nieces and nephews.
     Graveside services and interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Centerville, Washington. The Rev. Bill Arthur of Condon United Church of Christ will officiate.
     Casket bearers will be her grandsons, Allen Herbert, Ed Herbert, Zane Campbell, Terry Allen, Roger Tigner and Roger Tigner, Jr.
     Memorials may be made to the Condon Ambulance Fund.
     Albee's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
