M. LORRAINE CHAMBERLAIN
M. Lorraine Chamberlain, a longtime White Salmon resident,
died at the family home from C.O.P.D. (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
on Nov.19, 1995, at the age of 67.
Mrs. Chamberlain was born Oct. 30, 1928 in Forest Hills,
N.Y., to Mary (Hall) and John Armstrong. She received her education from
Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y. and worked as a registered
nurse.
She moved to Washington state with her husband Bob in
1952. They resided in Trout Lake, Willard, Hemlock and then White Salmon
for the past 39 years.
She was active with Skyline Hospital Guild, Red Cross
Bloodmobile, senior citizen blood pressure clinics, H.O.S.T.S (Help One Student
to Succeed) at the middle school, Hospice, Gorge Heritage Museum, Cub Scouts
and Brownies.
Mrs. Chamberlain is survived by her husband Bob, White
Salmon; sons Gregory R. Chamberlain, Chewelah, and Robert M. Chamberlain,
Gresham, Ore.; daughters Susan Romes Sobrinho, Redmond, and Lorrie Knowles,
White Salmon; brother Thomas Armstrong, Ft. Montgomery, N.Y.; and grandsons
Ryan and Kyle Romes, Redmond, and Perry Knowles, White Salmon.
Services for Mrs. Chamberlain were held Wednesday, Nov.
22, 1995, at 1 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home, with Chaplain Jerry Larsen
officiating. Interment was at White Salmon Cemetery.
Memorials may he made to Hospice of the Gorge or Skyline
Foundation in care of Gardner Funeral Home.
Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon was in charge of
the arrangements.
