FINAL RITES HELD FOR MYRON HALSE AT GARDNER'S
Myron Lesley Halse passed away at home on September 19th
at the age of 64 years.
He was born August 8, 1908 in Florence, South Dakota
to Guy and Mable Halse. He attended school there and came to the west coast
at the age of 19 where he worked on dairy farms and later for the Forest
Service.
He was married to Gladys B. Brown of Trout Lake, Wash.,
on May 27th, 1930 at Rupert, Idaho.
For many years he owned and operated a Brown Swiss dairy
farm in Trout Lake until ill health forced his retirement in 1959. He then
moved to White Salmon.
After moving to White Salmon he united with the Bethel
Congregational Church in 1962.
He worked part-time in the Eagles Service Station and
was a very avid fisherman.
Surviving are his wife, Gladys, and daughters, Mrs. Richard
Sharp (Lois) of Spokane, and Mrs. Leland Neal (Patty) of Vancouver and four
grandchildren.
Also brothers Howard of Florence, South Dakota, and Alvin
of Clear Lake, South Dakota. sisters, Mrs. Jack Weisner (Inez) of White Salmon;
Mrs. Jim Hanson (Evelyn) of Eugene, Oregon; Mrs. Cecil Frydendall (Charlotte)
of Albany, Ore.; and Mrs. A.M. Jackson (Doris) of Clear Lake, South Dakota
and many nieces and nephews. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in
death.
Funeral services were held in the Gardner's Funeral Chapel
at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 23, with Dr. Eugene Haynes officiating.
Tom Elefritz was the soloist with Mrs. David Stockman at the organ.
Interment was in the Trout Lake Cemetery.
