MAE MCCALL
Mae L. McCall, a lifelong White Salmon resident, died
Feb. 28, 1995, at her home in White Salmon, at the age of 58.
Mrs. McCall was born June 3, 1936, in White Salmon, to
Sarah Lydia (Smith) and Gilbert J. Knutson. She was raised in White Salmon
and worked as a bookkeeper for many years-first for Caffall Brothers and
then for Browning Timber. She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses and secretary
for the Mt. Adams Loggers Association. She collected crystal and loved to
work crossword puzzles. She had been in a bowling league and loved to go
to the beach where she deep sea fished.
Mrs. McCall is survived by her husband, Murl (Buck) McCall;
daughters Vicki McCall, The Dalles, Rhonda Holzer and Diane Youngblood, both
of Woodland, Kim Flindt, Wahiawa, Hawaii, and Jamie Graves, Trout Lake; stepsons
and Gerald McCall, Portland, Michael McCall, Mosier, and Jeff McCall, Vancouver;
stepdaughter Joanne Thibeau, Olympia; 11 grandchildren and one great
grandchildren; and many family members and friends in the Hood River area.
Funeral services for Mrs. Nicole were held Saturday,
March 4, 1995 at 2 p.m. at Gardner FuneralHomein White Salmon, with Jim Bradshaw
officiating. Interment was at the White Salmon Cemetery.
Gardner Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
