MARJORIE M. CRANE
A former Lyle resident, Marjorie Crane, 86, died Jan.
29 at the Mt. Adams Care Center in Goldendale.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Balch Cemetery
in Lyle, with arrangements directed by Gardner Funeral Home.
Mrs. Crane is survived by a sister, Berma Ganguin,
Goldendale, a niece, Mickey Chamberlain, Portland; a nephew, Herbert Sperling,
Portland, and several grandnieces and nephews. She was born Dec. 18, 1897
in Sparta, Wis., to Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Sperling (Lelia Brookman) and married
Walter Crane March 16, 1938.
Mrs. Crane was a member of the Order of Easter Star and
Columbia Grange in Lyle. She attended school in Spokane and The Dalles. She
and her husband, who was a lineman for the S.P. and S. Railroad, lived in
Wishram and Lyle. Mr. Crane died March 19, 1952.
