DEATH SUMMONS MRS. NICK CROWE

     Recitation of Rosary for Mrs. Nick (Mary Magdelene) Crowe, 57, resident of Glenwood for 34 years, was held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27 and requiem Mass at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, White Salmon. Father Dorian officiated.
     Burial was in Mt. Adams Cemetery, Glenwood. Bearers were Harry Dechand, Merle Akerill, Albert Booher, Wetzel King, Larry Babcock; Gay Margado and (honorary) George McCredy and Earl Odle.
     Mrs. Crowe (nee Dapkus) was born May 24, 1906 in Racine, Wisconsin and was married to Nick Crowe on Dec. 10, 1925 at Libby, Montana. They moved to Glenwood in 1929. She died Thursday, Oct. 24 at Klickitat Valley Hospital in Goldendale.
     Survivors include her widower, Nick, of Glenwood; two sons, Richard of Glenwood and Austin of El Monte, Calif.; four grandchildren; a brother August Dapkus of Stevenson; father Casmir Dapkus and a nephew David Dapkus.                      Mrs. Crowe was a member of Glenwood Grange No. 87 and St. Joseph's Catholic church of White Salmon.
