MAE MARGARET HOWLAND
Mae Margaret Howland was born at Johnson, Washington, May 27, 1902.
She graduated from Stevenson High School at the age of
18, attended several terms at the state normal school at Ellensburg, Wash. and
for several years taught in our public schools.
She was married at Appleton, Washington, December 31,
1922 to Harold Monroe Howland.
Mrs. Howland is survived by her husband, Harold M.
Howland of Portland, Ore.; a son, Private Harold Marvin Howland of the US Air
Forces stationed at Chanute Field, Ill.; a brother, Paul Griffin of Vancouver,
Wn.; and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Bradbrook of Pocatello, Idaho, and Miss Ruthy
Wiley of Oakland, Calif.
