MRS. BEN TUBBS DIES OF STROKE

     Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 6, at Gardners funeral chapel for Mrs. Ben (Maude May) Tubbs, 54, of BZ Corners. The Rev. George P. George officiated. Burial was in the IOOF cemetery.
     Mrs. Tubbs was born May 17, 1900 in Halsey, Idaho and died Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Skyline hospital following a cerebral vascular accident.
     She is survived by her husband, Ben. Chester Tubbs; sons, Arthur and Junior; daughters, Mrs. Lester Lund and Mrs. Walter Schuh; nine grandchildren; and four brothers, Albert Mitchell at Madeline, Calif., Marion and Harold Peterson of Portland, and Billy Peterson of Gresham.
     Pall bearers were Clarence Johnson, Sid Johnson, Les Mulkey, Collins Finch, Paul Newton and Bill Lauterbach.
