MONROE LOCKE FOUND DEAD IN HIS HOME
Rescue Party Brings in Ed Cramer To Hospital. Mathews also Brought In.
Last Saturday Roy Ritter and B.B. Beagle started up to Leo Kirbish's place on snow shoes as Ed Kramer was reported to be ill there. Before reaching the place they learned that help had been there and they were taking him out to the hospital so they thought they would drop by Monroe Lockes to see if he needed help as these places are really snowded in. Beagle knocked on the door. Receiving no answer, they stepped inside. A dog that was nearly starved bounded out the door and began to gulp snow. Then they saw the body on the floor. Mr. Meadows, a neighbor, had taken eggs and there on the 26th. Every day had been marked on the calendar up to the 27th, so he must have been dead several days. He was dressed even to the boots and cap and had plenty of food and wood.
