MR. MERLE O. WIIDANEN

     Mr. Merle O. Wiidanen, 78, of Centerville passed away on Tues., Jan. 23, 1996 at his home. He was born on Sept. 14, 1917 at Centerville, to William and Ida Wiidanen.
     He attended schools in Centerville, graduating from Centerville High School. He raised cattle and wheat on the family farm until retiring in 1982. Merle loved to bird watch and observe nature.
     He is survived by several nieces and nephews, including, David Simi of Vancouver, Brian Simi of Cascade, Idaho and Vernice Dove of Centerville.
     Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 27 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Erdman Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Akins of the First Baptist Church of officiating. Interment was in the family plot of the Centerville Cemetery.
     Pallbearers included; David Mattson, Gary Nichols, Roger Randall, Richard Randall, Mike Dove and Walter Fahlenkamp. Honorary pallbearers were Raymond Mattson, Alvin Randall, Bill Dove, Clifford Wilson, Pete Smithand and Bill Olson.
