PIONEER WOMAN OF TROUTLAKE PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Harrison Boze Was One of the Early Homesteaders on the White Salmon
River
Troutlake, Wash., Feb 3: -- Mrs. Martha Price Boze passed
away on January 27th, 1914. Funeral services were held at the home on the
30th, conducted by Rev. Greenslaid amidst a large gathering of friends and
neighbors. Interment took place in the Troutlake cemetery.
Mrs. Boze was born January 12, 1841 in Surrey county,
N.C., was married to Harrison Boze March 19, 1868. They lived in North Carolina
until 1881 when they moved to Troy, Miami county, Ohio. In 1889 they came
to Troutlake where they homesteaded on the White Salmon River and have lived
ever since. Mrs. Boze was a Christian woman and a good neighbor, always ready
to help when there was sickness or help was needed, and she will be missed
and long remembered.
Mrs. Boze is survived by her husband Harrison Boze who
has the sympathy and respect of every one.
